Spring hasn't sprung yet

As we’re getting close to the month of April, I feel as though life is passing at lightning speed. Not too long ago we celebrated the New Year and then we had a "Twenty Year" winter storm: snow was piled up knee high. Now with daylight savings time and 'spring forward,' I have fatigue from an hour less of sleep. Before you know it, we’ll be having a conversation about how hot it is outside and look for ways to cool off.

I suppose as we age priorities in life change as well. These days I think of how to minimize clutter and how to eliminate it, to make life easier. However, it’s one thing to have that as a goal and quite another to put it into practice. I find too often that I end up spending more time focusing on projects to eliminate things which end in accumulating even more things and thus continues the cycle of cluttered living.

I keep telling myself it’s a process; a process of decluttering. However much time it takes, if I have eliminated one thing, it will be one less thing which I own. As some sage said once, what you own, owns you. So my resolution for next year (2020), is this: I would like to stare out into empty space in my studio.
